It Took Their Kind
An account of the development of North Central Texas.  What a superb place is this land called Texas that we live in today.  People are proud to call it home, whether native born or a new resident.  The North Central area was too harsh and too different for the ordinary person to settle in, and so those extraordinary people who did come this way and stayed and left rich legacies behind for us.

You who read will, like true Texans, feel yourselves part of the legacy of Texas.  Some may find affinity for those sho shaped our Texas long ago and whose legacy continues to do so today.  The book was written by local historian W.E. "Jack" Carlton.  It is hardbound with an attractive cove and includes 142 pages with six maps of the area.
